DISOBEDIENCE IS THE CAUSE OF WAR
Sohbet given by Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Hakkani el-Kibrisi

Selamun aleykum. Meded Ya Sayiddi, Ya Sultan Evliya, Mevlana Sheykh Nazim al-Hakkani. Meded.
[Sheykh began the sohbet by talking about the Muslims today running in the streets saying `no war' and yet war is coming upon them through their disobedience to Allah Almighty. Then he continued…]
When you ask them, “Why you don’t want this (war)?”
They don’t know.
“Why do you think this is happening?”
They don’t know that too.
“But we don’t want it.”
Hmm. Sheytan is giving them direction saying, “Don’t move those big powers from where they are now. Otherwise, I cannot reach to my aim completely. Run in the streets a little more saying, `We don’t want war, we don’t want war, we don’t want war,’ and I am preparing an end to every one of you. Some are waking up now and bringing down some tyrants. (If that continues) then I cannot reach to my aim.”
We are talking to the believers. Take it if you are a believer. If you are not, then leave it to me. Don’t get upset with what I am going to say now. Bring out anybody (who may get upset) and say, “This is what Sheykh is saying. He is speaking to the believers. If you don’t like it then you can leave.”
Through the history Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has punished… Look at the Qur’an and what it is saying. The Children of Israel whom Allah had separated. He is saying in the Qur’an that He gave them a special separate position. But when they turned and became disobedient to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala), He moved the Assyrians, who were controlling that whole area of what you call Baghdad today. They were controlling and they had a very powerful king, but they were not believing and worshipping Allah. They were worshipping the sun, the moon and all kinds of unusual things. So Allah moved that force with all that power saying, “Although you are saying that you are worshipping this, this, this and this, You are My creatures. I am moving you to punish those who went out of their way. They were in Sirat-ul Mustaqim and they went out of their way. So I am moving you now to bring them down.” He brought them and He taught a big lesson to the Children of Israel. They came and they didn’t leave anybody unharmed. They entered into the houses, they looked around the houses and they looked everywhere. Anybody they found they said, “This head is too much.” And they were cutting the heads continuously. They didn’t separate. People started screaming, “Help! Help!” Ah, help reached that time. (Allah said) “You forgot? You are forgetting your Lord? Okay. I will make you to remember.”
They were only a handful. Today, the liars, the so-called Christians, Jews and so many Muslims, the liars, the so-called
believers, are leaving Islam. They are leaving the lifestyle of Islam and they are adopting some lifestyle from Americanism, from Western ideas, and that’s how they live. The Muslim countries are removing Allah and His Prophet’s (saw) laws and Shariat and they are adopting so many weird and foolish laws to themselves and to their nations. Later they are calling themselves believers. And then Allah started moving those big powers like He did to the Children of
Israel saying, “Now the big powers must move to bring the other ones down.” And now the Muslims are saying, “Oh, they are so tyrant! They are doing this to us in Iraq and Afghanistan!” Wait. Do you think this is something? Believers, do you think this is something?
There is a story. It fits now. A man entered inside the cave of a big bear. While he was looking around, the bear came to enter the cave and his friends from outside saw the bear trying to go inside. So they ran and grabbed the bear by the tail pulling it out. The bear was trying to pull in and they were trying to pull it out and while that movement was going on there was so much dust moving off the floor that the man inside was saying, “You are making too much dust. I cannot breathe inside.” (Sheykh smiles). One of his men outside said, “Don’t worry. This is nothing yet. Wait to see what’s
going to happen to you when the tail of the bear is ripped off.” He said, “This is nothing. We are pulling, we are holding it by the tail but the bear is moving to come in. And now with so much movement when the tail is going to come off then look what happens to you! You are still good.” The Muslims are still good now. Those intelligent ones they see, they fear and they are shivering. But the foolish ones are still sleeping. So we say, “Wait and see what’s coming ahead.”
The people of Baghdad… Baghdad means the area of Baghdad, Basra, Karbala and all that area. Not this new name Iraq. The Zionists decided saying to the British, “Put this name.” Syria. What Syria? What Lebanon? Jordan. What is Jordan? Since when? Hmm. The British decided to put those names, separating, moving that big force saying, “We can separate them into all these different areas. We can control them like this.” But their aim didn’t work. They have a bigger problem now than ever before. So now they have to move in with their forces.
So Baghdad was always under big trouble because the people of that area were big tyrants. Once upon a time, a righteous Khalifah appointed Hajjaj the tyrant, they call him the tyrant, Hajjaj the Zalim. Hajjaj was sent to Iraq to be the governor. He came to Iraq, collected everybody in the big mosque and said, “I am the governor now.” He said to them, “Our Khalifah put all his arrows in front of him and he chose the worst poison arrow and sent it to you.” They were looking around and he said, “That one is me. And he is also sending a message to you through this Khutba.” Then he said to his
Khadim, “Stand up and read this to them!” He was not even reading it himself, showing, “I have power and authority.” He said, “Listen to the Khutba.” And that one was reading saying, “O people of Baghdad, Selam aleykum.” Khalifah is giving selam to them. Not a single one responded. Hajjaj was looking, shaking his head and the Khadim was reading, “O people of Baghdad, you have lost your manners and you all became tyrants. And I am watching that some heads are growing among you that are moving some people behind them. It’s about time to collect those heads that are growing. They have grown enough. For that, I have sent you my Khalifah (deputy). Obey that one and you will be alright.”
They listened to the Khutba but no one was responding as if they haven’t heard anything. The Khadim sat down and Hajjaj was looking at them. They were not caring. Right away Hajjaj used that majestic anger saying to his Khadim, “Get up! Read again to them!” He stood up saying, “BismillahirRahmanirRahim. O People of Baghdad, Selam aleykum.” As soon as he said that everyone stood up saying, “Waleykum selam wa rahmatullah.” Hajjaj said, “Good. You have started learning already.” He took out a list saying, “Tomorrow, this, this, this and this name that I have called must come to my office.” So everyone was shivering not knowing what was going to happen because this one is very unusual. They all came. Hajjaj pointed at one saying, “You! Tell me, what am I? Am I a scholar or a tyrant?”
“No your majesty, you are a scholar.”
He said, “You are a liar. Go to the left side.”
(To another one,) “You! What am I?”
“You’re a scholar.”
“Left side. You are a liar.”
(To another one,) “You!”
“You are a tyrant.”
“You are a liar. Left side.”
By now they knew, “Whatever we say, scholar or tyrant, we are on the left side.” When everyone was on the left side he said to the executioner, “Take those heads out. Khalifah said that some heads are growing. They must go. Take them out!” They started shivering and Hajjaj said, “Wait to see what’s coming behind. I will not leave one in Baghdad who is going to be disobedient and disrespectful to my Khalifah. Not one!”
We are living in America. Such words we are speaking. (Sheykh smiles). Wait to see what’s coming to America. Heh! Now they claim to have freedom. Free!
“I do as I like. Don’t touch me!”
Sit. Nobody’s touching yet. Wait to see what happens when the arrows of Sheykh Mevlana are going to come and they are going to reach to this part of the world. O people of New York, wake up to yourselves. No country, no government, no law, no friend, no anything can save you except Allah and His Prophet (saw) because people, the so-called believers, lost their respect to the Holy Prophet (saw). You must learn how to take that respect back and to respect that Holy Prophet (saw) properly. Otherwise, the arrows are moving out now. They are going to collect some growing heads. Soon it’s coming. If you don’t believe me, go to the government leaders. Say to them, “This is what this guy is saying. It’s about time to come down.” If they don’t know, then tell then them to come to me. Or, tell them to tell me to come to Washington to tell them what’s coming.
It’s about time now for what is coming from the heavens to the whole world. Don’t think that Allah is going to lose something because ten or ten thousand or ten million or ten billion heads are going to go. No. It is so easy for Him to create it and so easy for Him to take it. And He doesn’t have to give an explanation to anyone. But He is the most Just One. He is very patient with His creatures to see which way they are going, which direction they are moving, what they say and if they do what they say. This is what it is. This is sohbet to me and you are listening. Say, if you want, “I am just
listening to this. I am not agreeing with it.” It’s okay. They (the angels) are writing. Those ones are writing what’s passing through the heart too. Don’t worry.
It’s about time for the believers to leave the slavery of Dunya and to turn their faces to their Lord. Slavery! Look. Slavery. Everyone is running, “We want our rights.” What? The white men brought the black men here and made them slaves. Heh! What happened now? You got the rights. What happened now? Now the white and the black are all slaves. To whom? To Sheytan. Hmm. Now it’s about time for everyone to wake up and to turn their faces towards their Lord and to ask for
forgiveness instead of running to the streets to say, “We don’t want that, we don’t want this, we don’t want war.” Who asked you? Who asked us if we want it or not? Huh? What is ordered from the heavenly station is going to happen. Either you are listening or not listening, either you are accepting or not accepting, who cares? Do you think that this universe is circling around you? Turn around, lock yourself into a room and say, “How big am I? I am claiming to have this, this, this and this. Am I? Do I have that?” Say to yourself in that room alone, “I am”, and look how fast they will
stop your breathing. Try.
Either we are going to turn to become servants to our Lord or we are falling to the side that is very dangerous. I was coming on the way now and there was so much rain pouring down. It was like a river running from the sky down to us. I said “Subhanallah! This is water. What will happen if there were stones coming down?”
“What are you talking about? There’s no such thing.”
What will happen if fire started coming down? Do you think That One who is sending that water doesn’t have the power to send stones down too? This thinking came to my heart and I was shivering and I said, “Ya Rabbi! Save us.” What happened? `X’ got confused saying, “What happened Sheykh? There’s not a drop of water here now.” We asked for safety. We were looking at so much water which may have instantly turned (to other things), and so we said, “Ya Rabbi! Save us from this. Please put us to a protected place.” A split second later there was not a drop of water. Hmm.
If you don’t turn your face to your Lord, lots of things are coming and no one is going to be able to escape. Some of us think that, “We have escaped from the Middle East or Far East or from Afghanistan or Pakistan or here and there and we came to America. Oh, we are free! We are going to do as we like!” No. Not you and not the Americans anymore are going to do as they like. This is what has been written. Since one week I am watching and this is what they are saying, “They are not going to do as they like anymore. Finished.”
And it is for us to say and to do. To believe or not is up to you. If you want to believe, you may find safety. If you don’t want to believe saying, “Don’t you see I am busy working. I have this and I have that. Every protection is coming.” Look how fast all these things are coming down now.
